The Lake Scugog Historical Society is proud to offer a selection of locally written books that celebrate and preserve the rich history of our township. Many are authored by well-known local historians Peter Hvidsten and Paul Arculus, these books provide fascinating insights into the people, businesses, and buildings that have shaped Scugog’s past.

Books can be purchased through the LSHS online store via our website. We update the site regularly with newly released titles and upcoming launch events. Typically, we host 1–2 book launches each year, often in conjunction with our Speaker Series or at the Fall Antique & Nostalgia Show.

At events where the author is present, books can often be personally signed or inscribed—a great opportunity to own a unique keepsake or gift.
